CURRICULUM

Matteo Liva, pianoforte

 


     
Completed his music studies in Venice, in piano under Vincenzo Pertile and in composition under Bruno Coltro, receiving his Diploma with maximum marks, cum laude, a special commendation and the “Mazza” prize as top student of his year. He specialised at The International Academy of Music “Lorenzo Perosi”in Biella under Aldo Ciccolini and with Pier Narciso Masi and Franco Rossi in chamber music. Winner of the piano competitions “Citta’ di Alberga”and Citta’ di Acireale”, he received second prizes in the “Citta’ di Osimo”and “Premio Venezia” competitions and a third prize in “Citta’ di Treviso”and”Citta’ di Livorno”. He has performed as a soloist at La Fenice Theatre in Venice, the San Carlo Theatre in Naples, Amici di Musica of Mestre, Asolo Musica, Amici di Musica  of adova, the San Remo Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of The Marche, in numerous centres of  A.Gi.Mus and of Gioventu’ Musicale Italiana. He formed the Trio Malipero and a duo with the violinist Giacobbe Stevanato, with whom he has played at the Auditorium of France 2 in Strasbourg and in Switzerland.  He has also performed together with internationally renowned musical groups and soloists, such as the Quartetto d’archi of Venice, the Ex Novo Ensemble, Massimo Somenzi, Nicholas Isherwood and others. He has recorded with a number of record labels (Fonit Cetra, Ares, Rivoalto, Frequenz, etc.) specialising in Twentieth Century composers.  He teaches at the Conservatory “A.Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto.
